So today I returned to our local Walmart retail store with the intention of purchasing a TV stand and toilet bowl cleaner. But never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d find an item as magical as this.
KETCHUP CHIPS! Now I found these very same chips at Walmart a few years ago. But before I could go back and buy more, they stopped selling them. Apparently they’re back now and just as delicious as ever.
Let’s hope Walmart keeps them around this time. *munches on ketchup chips*
So there I was standing in the checkout line at Walmart. I had just completed a major grocery shopping session and stood waiting in line to purchase my goods. I thought I had everything I needed to by. But little did I know, there was one more item I was destined to have.
Being bored, I looked around at all the impulse purchases at the checkout lane. I didn’t really need any lip gloss, or lighters, or Uno decks. The candy options looked mildly interesting. I pondered purchasing a Carmello, but then I spotted something different. I found…
Pretzel M&Ms! When I saw them I knew I had no choice but to buy them. For they sounded amazing and delicious and I simply couldn’t resist.
They are as good as I imagined they would be. I almost want to rush out and buy more. So if you should spot these at any of your local retailers, BUY THEM!
Well I still haven’t gone grocery shopping, but don’t worry about me, my friends. I still have PLENTY of food to eat. Anyway, dinner time!
Doesn’t that just look delicious?
I don’t know why, but for some reason I just haven’t felt like going grocery shopping lately. It’s actually been weeks since I’ve gone on any major grocery shopping trip. Oh well, I’m sure everything will work out just fine. Anyway, it’s time for dinner!
Hmmm… maybe I should go grocery shopping.
I decided to face one of the important issues facing America today head on and directly. I composed a memo and posted a copy on each employee’s door. This is what the memo said:
I had a delicious snack just moments ago. What was this snack you ask? Why it was a butterscotch pudding with whipped cream of course!
Most people probably would’ve put a cherry on top, but since I didn’t have any cherries available, I decided to use a gummy mushroom instead. Sure, it may sound odd, but it was delicious!
It was a tasty treat. I’ll have to have it again sometime.
So yesterday when I was shopping at Walmart I decided to buy a bag of puffcorn. I hadn’t had puffcorn in quite some time. It seemed like a good idea, because the last few times I’ve had popcorn, the hulls have gotten stuck in my teeth and throat. None of that unpleasantness happens with puffcorn.
As I was happily munching on the puffy snack, it occurred to me that puffcorn looks remarkably similar to packing peanuts. In fact, if you took packing peanuts and flavoured them with salt and butter, they’d probably taste remarkably similar to puffcorn.
Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go eat some packing peanuts… err I mean puffcorn.
I’m happy to report that my quest to obtain Archway Frosty Lemon cookies was a success. Acting on a tip from my sister Becky, I was able to obtain two packages of the delicious cookies at our local Piggly Wiggly Supermarket.
These were the last two packs of the delicious cookies they had on the shelf. And to top it all off, they were on sale, 2 packs for $5!
Mmmmm. I love these cookies.
I would just like to take a moment and thank Lance Inc. for rescuing Archway Cookies. As it turns out, the Archway Cookies brand has had seven different owners since 1936. Let’s hope Lance Inc. holds on to them for a while and continues to provide us with these tasty treats!
You know what I wish I had right now? Some Frosty Lemon Archway cookies. They were absolutely fantastic. I had heard a couple years ago that Archway Cookies were going out of business. I guess at the time it was true, but a company bought the brand in a bankruptcy auction and started making the cookies again. Unfortunately, I can’t find them anywhere around here.
As I stare at that photo of a cookie package I found on the Internet, I’m filled with desire and longing for the soft, sweet, lemony cookie I loved as a child. Perhaps I should go on a cookie quest until I find them. It’s really been too long since I’ve had a good quest.
*le sigh* I miss you, lemon cookies. 
So a couple months ago I noticed a shortage of my favorite banana popsicles at Piggly Wiggly. At first I had to dig way in the back of the cooler to find a box. On subsequent visits I couldn’t find them at all.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, I am happy to report that the banana pops are back at Piggly Wiggly!
Personally, I like these banana pops better than other brands. Plus there’s a monkey on the box. I think the implication is that monkeys approve of and endorse the product. And if these banana pops are good enough for monkeys, they’re certainly good enough for me!
Oh by the way, these banana pops are a “quiescently frozen confection.”
Those are some mighty fancy words for a popsicle box!
