$100 Food Budget – Day 26

Well, we’re definitely getting down to the wire here. I had a pretty bad craving for chocolate today, so I decided to head to the store and see if I could find a deal. I ended up buying:

  • Kit Kats
  • Chocolate chip ice cream
  • Candy fruit slices
  • Sandwich meat

At this point there is very little money left. I do think I have enough food to last me through the rest of the week, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be glad when next Saturday finally rolls around.

Total Spent: $93.82

Remaining Cash: $6.18

$100 Food Budget – Day 13

So I found myself craving chocolate a while ago. I think chocolate is one of those substances you crave more when you know you don’t have any. Well, it turns out I did have some after all. I found a bag of chocolate chips in my pantry! Chocolate isn’t just for the ladies, folks. I know the Dove chocolate wrappers are sexist and biased toward women, but men usually like chocolate too.

Did you know that chocolate releases endorphins in the brain and gives people a sense of well-being? It also stimulates a chemical reaction in the brain which mimics the feeling of being in love. No wonder people love chocolate.

I didn’t spend any money today.

Total Spent: $49.36

Remaining Cash: $50.64

Do Not Buy This Product!

If you should find yourself shopping at the store, and you come across this product, DO NOT BUY IT!

It may very well be the most delicious chocolate I have ever tasted. These “Wonka Exceptionals Scrumdiddlyumptious Chocolate Pieces” are milk chocolate with scrumptious toffee, crispy cookie and crunchy peanuts. Oh. My. Goodness. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to keep myself from eating the entire bag.

They have a couple other flavors too. One of them is a white and milk chocolate swirl. The other seems to be a dark chocolate with a mound of milk chocolate in the center.

Pray for me.

Super Bowl Sunday

Today is a day to celebrate. Tonight we see the culmination of another great NFL season. It’s a time to reminisce and remember all the sorrow the joy, the great catches, great throws and bone-crunching hits. For most of us, our teams didn’t make it this far. But we celebrate anyway and await many more awesome seasons of the greatest sport on earth. So let us eat, drink and be merry for today is Super Bowl Sunday.

Hey, That Cereal Looks Kinda Like Cheerios!

So yesterday when I was texting my friend Leah, she alerted me to the existence of a brand new variety of Cheerios. Chocolate Cheerios! Doesn’t that sound like a rather odd combination?

Being a cereal lover, I knew that I had to try these new Cheerios, despite the inherent weirdness of it. To be honest, Chocolate Cheerios don’t sound very appetizing, and they don’t look so great either.

Honestly, they look more like some sort of bran cereal than anything chocolaty delicious. They also kinda resemble something you’d give a dog. But looks aren’t everything right?

Chocolate Cheerios taste and smell a lot like Cocoa Puffs. The main difference is that the Cheerios are not nearly as sweet. So if you’re interested in a cereal that tastes like another delicious cereal except less delicious, then Chocolate Cheerios may be right for you.

A Bachelor Breakfast

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After a long night of sleeping and fasting, it’s important to “break the fast” with a well-balanced and nutritious breakfast. You need a good mix of protein, carbohydrates, and fat.

Here are all the foods you need for a wholesome breakfast.

Looks fantastic, doesn’t it?

The delicious “cereal” shown in the photo above provides fat, carbs, and even a little protein from the nutritious chocolate milk.

Here’s a nice protein source.

And finally, some important carbs from the “fruit.”

So who wants to come over for breakfast?
